TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Custom Orders
1.1 A sketch, drawing, or picture example must be provided by the client, highlighting the desired design style, measurements, and any functional requirements.
1.2 A signed acceptance of the final job card (via approval slip or confirmed email) is required before work commences. This constitutes acceptance of both the design and these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 A maximum of two (2) design or specification changes are permitted before a 5% design amendment fee becomes applicable.
1.4 Quotations are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue.
1.5 Any structural or design modifications requested after production has commenced may result in additional material and labour costs.
- Payments
2.1 A 70% deposit is required before work begins. This secures all materials, labour, and workshop scheduling.
2.2 The balance is payable before delivery or collection.
2.3 All goods remain the property of Creator Creations until paid for in full.
2.4 Failure to settle the balance due within thirty (30) days of invoice will result in a 10% monthly storage fee (applicable for up to 30 days). Thereafter, the product may be sold to defray costs, and any remaining balance (less storage and administrative fees) will be refunded once the item is sold.
2.5 Pricing is based on the current cost of materials. Should supplier prices increase significantly during long-term or phased projects, Creator Creations reserves the right to re-quote affected components before proceeding.
- Turnaround Time
3.1 Average turnaround time is 4–6 weeks, unless otherwise arranged in writing.
3.2 All projects are hand-made from scratch. Production time may vary depending on material availability, design complexity, or the current workshop schedule.
3.3 If a deadline is requested, we will do our best to accommodate it but cannot guarantee delivery dates unless agreed to in writing. Expedited projects may attract a rush fee.
3.4 Bulk orders, built-in installations, or site-based work (such as kitchens, decking, pergolas, or jungle gyms) may require additional time due to sequencing, curing, or weather delays.
3.5 Once a completion, delivery or installation date has been confirmed, rescheduling earlier is not permitted without prior approval, as it affects workshop planning and overall schedule.
- Order Cancellation
4.1 Orders may be cancelled before production begins, and deposits will be refunded in full.
4.2 If production has already commenced, 50% of the deposit will be forfeited to cover material and labour costs.
4.3 Cancellations for custom-built or site-installed projects (such as kitchens, decks, or pergolas) will not be refundable once material has been ordered or cutting has begun.
- Deliveries and Installations
5.1 Products must be inspected upon delivery or completion of installation in the presence of our team.
5.2 Any damage or defect must be reported immediately and confirmed via email within 24 hours. Acceptance of goods or confirmation via email constitutes full approval.
5.3 The client (or appointed representative) must be present during delivery or installation. If not, any return, re-collection, or re-installation will incur an additional call-out fee.
5.4 Clients must ensure proper access to the property and installation area — including doorways, stairs, lifts, and gate clearances. Any modification or rework required due to limited access will be charged separately.
5.5 Built-in cabinetry, decks, pergolas, or jungle gyms are installed on-site. While all care is taken, Creator Creations cannot be held liable for minor wall, paint, or surface damage caused by installation, drilling, or fitting processes.
5.6 Once the final job card, design specifications (including dimensions, finishes, materials, and design style), and/or design renderings have been approved and signed off by the client, this approval is deemed final. Any subsequent dissatisfaction, alteration requests, or complaints upon delivery or installation that contradict the approved specifications will not be eligible for refund and will be subject to additional costs for alterations, labour, or materials required to make changes.
If, however, the finished product differs materially from the approved and signed-off job card or design specifications due to an error by Creator Creations, a partial refund or corrective action (rework at no cost) may be considered after mutual review.
5.7 All issues must be reported within five (5) days of delivery or installation. Thereafter, repairs or modifications will be billed at standard rates.
5.8 Late payments are subject to a 2% late fee of the outstanding balance per 15-day period.
5.9 Deliveries made by Creator Creations are weather dependent.
- Care, Maintenance & Warranty
6.1 Indoor furniture should be maintained using appropriate furniture polish or spray.
6.2 Outdoor furniture, decks require regular oiling or sealing using suitable outdoor products.
6.3 Avoid placing hot items directly on any wood, veneer, or melamine surface.
6.4 Outdoor items should be kept under cover whenever possible to avoid direct exposure to rain and sun, prolonging the life of the wood.
6.5 Wood is a natural product and may expand, contract, or show cracks over time due to humidity and temperature changes. This is not considered a defect.
6.6 Beds and jungle gyms must be used as intended. Creator Creations cannot be held liable for damage or injury resulting from misuse or overloading. (Beds are built to hold up to 120kg per person unless otherwise specified.) No jumping in beds is accepted, beds were not built to withstand that force, unevenly distributed weight on the bed frame may cause structural damage.
6.7 After delivery or installation, any damage caused by misuse, relocation, or neglect is not covered under warranty. Repairs and maintenance requests will be billed separately.
- Wood, Material & Finish Choices
7.1 Clients are responsible for confirming their preferred wood type or material (e.g., pine, oak, saligna, white oak, meranti, veneer, melamine, wrapped or edged boards, etc.) prior to production. By approving the job card or quotation, and thus paying the deposit (is seen as accepting these terms and conditions), the client acknowledges that they understand the natural characteristics and visible features of their chosen material — such as colour variation, grain, texture, edging lines, or join marks — which are not considered defects.
Creator Creations will not be held liable for dissatisfaction or aesthetic concerns resulting from the client’s selected material or finish choice once production has begun.
7.2 Softwoods (such as pine) are cost-effective but more prone to dents, cracks, and warping than hardwoods.
7.3 Veneer, melamine, and laminate products have chipboard or MDF cores that can swell when exposed to moisture. Ensure suitability for the intended environment before selection.
7.4 Every piece of wood is unique. Variations in grain, colour, and texture are natural and form part of the wood’s character — these are not considered defects.
7.5 Finishes and stains may appear slightly different in colour or tone from photos or samples due to the natural differences in wood grain and lighting.
7.6 Melamine, Edging & Manufactured Board Tolerances
Melamine, laminated, and manufactured board products are mass-produced materials and may contain minor manufacturing or handling imperfections, including but not limited to:
-
Micro chips along edging
-
Tiny surface scratches, scuffs, or marks
-
Slight inconsistencies in finish or sheen
These can occur during manufacturing, cutting, edging, transport, or installation and are considered industry-acceptable tolerances. Such imperfections are often so minor that suppliers and manufacturers do not classify them as “damaged” material and will not replace boards on this basis.
Additionally, edged boards may display a fine hairline or visible join where the edging meets the board surface. This is a normal characteristic of edged melamine products and is more noticeable on plain, high-gloss, white, or light-coloured finishes, while darker colours and woodgrain patterns tend to disguise this join naturally. The presence of this edging line is not considered a defect.
The visibility of minor imperfections, microchips and edging joins varies by colour and pattern. Plain and light-coloured melamine finishes, particularly white, are more prone to showing marks and edging lines to the naked eye.
Clients are strongly encouraged to familiarise themselves with the characteristics of their chosen materials by viewing real-life samples, display units, or supplier showroom boards, either independently or with Creator Creations, prior to final approval. Where clients choose not to attend an in-person sample or showroom viewing, the selected material is deemed accepted as-is based on standard industry appearance and tolerances.
By selecting melamine or laminated products — particularly in lighter or solid colours — the client acknowledges and accepts these inherent characteristics. Minor, non-structural cosmetic imperfections and visible edging joins that do not affect functionality, durability, or use are not considered defects and do not constitute grounds for material rejection, replacement, or project delay.
- Site Work, Decking, and Outdoor Structures
8.1 All outdoor installations (decks, pergolas, jungle gyms) are weather dependent; project timelines may shift accordingly.
8.2 The client is responsible for ensuring the ground or base surface is level and structurally suitable for installation.
8.3 Unless otherwise agreed, concrete work, ground levelling, and electrical or plumbing adjustments are not included in our quotations.
8.4 Decking and outdoor structures require annual maintenance (oiling, tightening of fittings, and inspection of screws/bolts). Failure to maintain may void warranty claims.
8.5 Jungle gyms are built for residential use unless otherwise specified. Public or commercial installations must meet specific safety requirements and will be quoted accordingly.
8.6 Installations of all outdoor permanent structures will need available water and electricity use on the site. If these are not available, this must be arranged beforehand.
